After having lots of problems with my USB DVB-T tuner (it would run for a while then just stop), I have finally narrowed it down to the short (500mm) usb extension cable between it and the on-motherboard usb port. Removing the cable, it's been running fine for a week.
A bit odd really, it worked ok on the old computer with the extension cable, but I'm happy it's not the overclocking at fault!

Computer Upgrade
After my trusty P4 2.53 finally died on me, I have upgraded my computer to a Phenom II X4 810, which I am overclocking to 3ghz. This is the first AMD processor I have purchased, and I am quite pleased with it's performance/price ratio. Quite an improvement over the old machine. I am currently running windows XP on it, but will install and document a gentoo install, and will give 64bit a try for a change.
New Blog
Have just created this account on Blogger to replace the previous blog which was hosted on my Gentoo box using Polarblog. This should allow for better uptime and faster page serves.
